We are happy to receive documents by post. We ask one thing: please use a tracked service that does not need a signature on delivery.
Which service to choose
Recommended
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Tracked 48Without the signature option. Tracked to our door, and delivered whether or not someone is in.

Best avoided
- Royal Mail Special Delivery GuaranteedAlways needs a signature, and Royal Mail will not leave it with a neighbour.
- Royal Mail Signed ForFirst or second class, it needs someone to sign on delivery.
- Any service with a signature addedIncluding Tracked 24 or 48 with Signature, and couriers that require one.
Why we ask
We do not have a reception. Much of our day is spent away from the desk: at client appointments, and moving documents between the agents, translators and couriers we work with.
When an item that needs a signature arrives and nobody is in, Royal Mail leaves a card and takes it back to the local delivery office. From there it has to be collected in person with ID, or booked for redelivery, which needs 48 working hours’ notice. Either way your documents wait at the delivery office, and our turnaround only starts once they reach us.
You are welcome to, but it is at your own risk: if there is nobody here to sign, any delay while the item is redelivered or collected is outside our control. Whichever service you use, choose one with tracking, and check its compensation cover suits what you are sending.
Before you post
Email us first
Tell us what you are sending and the country it is for. If you ordered online, include your order reference.
Keep a copy
Scan or photograph each document before it goes in the envelope.
Pack it flat
Use a stiff or board-backed envelope. Please do not fold, staple or hole-punch the documents.
Put a note inside
Your name, email, phone number, return address and the service you have chosen. An order reference covers all of this.
Send us the tracking number
Email it once the envelope is posted, so we know to look out for it.
Getting them back
We return your documents by tracked post once they are ready.
